Thanks, awaiting blood test results...but sure that I'm headed for a change in diet. I appreciate the input and welcome any words of wisdom...

Ron,
My case may be a little different because of my cystic fibrosis. What I've changed though is drinking plenty of water, slacked off on the red meat, and a lower in fat diet. I also use digestive enzymes with meals to prevent my pancreas from working too hard. Hope this helps!

Casey I have a very similar story also in March of 2010. This was my first trip to the hospital but the symptoms were present during the previous two weeks. My hospital experience was a four day one. I have seen my doc for this only two times since the episode. she had asked me to have my blood work done but..but since I had no pain and any symptoms all but gone...I continued as I had previously but with one major change. I stopped drinking completely! In the past I was a serious weekend party guy! Just two days ago the familiar pain in chest and constant need to burp...has returned. I am now going to the that blood test done...as I read more and more experiences of others...I am more than a little concerned what the future has in store....any advice would be welcome..
