iPhone
Well, I got an iPhone for my birthday! La De Freakin Do you say? It’s a decision I’ve been contemplating for a while now. I didn’t want an Apple proprietary device because it makes me feel so locked down. I’ve been doing research but usually always try to find out Robert Scoble has to say. He’s a tech/gadget guru that I’ve been following since his days at Microsoft.
Here was my criteria for a phone
- Slim.
- Big Screen.
- Internet Savvy device.
- Good battery life.
- fast response time.
- Syncing of Google contact, Gmail, multiple Google calendars
I looked at these phones
- Samsung Jack
- HTC Pure
- Blackberry Curve and Bold
Windows Mobile seemed clunky on Both the Samsung and HTC phones. The slower response times as well as the screen size didn’t help their case either. The Blackberry phones I just can’t get over the fact that I just don’t like them. The text looks funky to me and are bulky.
All and all I believe I got everything I wanted in the phone and then some. I do wish the battery life was better though. Also I’m amazed how dependent I’ve become on the device that I’ve only had 3 weeks. I can now understand why people love them so much. It very simple and easy to use. The amount of apps they have for the iPhone is amazing as well. I will get into that on my next post.
